  • Miller also ran ads directly confronting A-B in connection with low-carb bragging rights.

    • In its advertising, A-B pointed out, "All light beers are low in carbs," and exhorted, "Choose on taste."

    • Miller responded, in a spot named "Endorsement," which included a voiceover invoking the A-B slogan and then continuing, "All we can say is, thanks for the endorsement." The TV ad ended by claiming that Miller Lite contains half the carbs of Bud Light.

    • In "Choice," another spot in the campaign created by the Ogilvy & Mather New York unit of WPP Group, a voiceover again alludes to the "Choose on Taste" slogan and then urges consumers, "Try both and decide for yourself."

  • Miller began packaging its beer in refrigerator-friendly packages in 2004, and highlighted the new boxes in advertisements.

    • In March 2004, the company began using the "Fridge Pack," a 12-pack designed to fit conveniently in consumers' refrigerators, for Miller Lite and Miller Genuine Draft. Previously, the Fridge Pack had been used for carbonated soft drinks.

    • In addition to two of Millers leading brands, which were available nationwide by the end of April, one of Miller's smaller brands, Ice House, was housed in Fridge Packs in the Southeast, and MGD Light was so situated in the Midwest.

    • An ad in the "President of Beers" campaign suggests that the Fridge Pack demonstrates the Miller is a beer "of the people."

    • The company also created new packaging graphics for its brands.
